Bond theme songwriter Leslie Bricusse died yesterday aged 90.

Loads of fabulous songs and a presenter on Radio 2 back in the '90s. There was a 30 minute weekday show mid afternoon with a different presenter every week playing some of their favourite songs. I used to drive a lot at that time and enjoyed it and can recall Leslie being one of the presenters.

One of his songs I liked was 'If I Ruled The World'.

RIP.

Love If I Ruled The World,Helen.

Petula Clark paid Leslie a lovely tribute on Radio 4 this morning on their Today programme.

Aw, sad to learn this (and it doesn't seem to have got much attention). Wrote an awful of classic tunes, the ones from Willy Wonka in particular.

Just last week (before he died) I saw Anita Harris pay tribute, before singing one of his songs from Goodbye Mr Chips

I particularly liked his collaboration with Tony Newley. First class songwriter.

My personal favourite is Feeling Good. What a song.
