Delighted to find that this wonderful show is to be staged at the Chichester Festival Theatre, where I shall be seeing it. Michael Ball as Mack Sennett is the only cast member to be named so far.

It opens in mid-July and will run until early September, with a tour to follow, including Manchester, Helen, if you are interested!

I love the music and David Jacobs will surely send his blessings down for this new production. He was so instrumental in bringing the show to the notice of the wider public.

I'm sure it will be wonderful Eileen, thanks for the heads up!

You know I think I heard Michael Ball refer to it a few weeks ago (then I promptly forgot all about it Sad ) I'll look out for the tour dates later in the year in the local press.

I have just booked for mid-August Smile. So far the only other cast member besides Michael Ball to be announced is Anna-Jane Casey who will play Lottie. No idea yet who is to play Mabel.

I was involved an amdram version of this - my job was to project clips of old movies when cued. Very enjoyable, old-fashioned musical.

Yes Ian, I love it. I saw it in London a few years ago and have two CDs of the music - the one with Robert Preston and also the live charity performance which David Jacobs introduced on stage.

American actress Rebecca LaChance has been confirmed to star alongside Michael Ball in Chichester's forthcoming revival of Mack and Mabel.

Following its run in the Chichester Festival Theatre, from 13 July to 5 September 2015, the production will tour across the UK and Ireland.

LaChance recently made her Broadway debut in Beautiful: The Carole King Musical, understudying Jessie Mueller in the title role

Other casting includes Anna-Jane Casey as Lottie, Jack Edwards as Fatty, Alex Giannini as Mr Kleiman, Gunnar Cauthery as Frank and Mark Inscoe as William Desmond Taylor.

The company also includes Michelle Francis, Emily Langham, Rebecca Louis, Joshua Lovell, Joseph Prouse, and Emily Shaw.

----------------------

Does anyone have any info about any of the above? Anna-Jane Casey is the only one I know.

A good review in today's Telegraph:

I went on Tuesday evening. It was wonderful! Michael Ball was outstanding as Mack and US import Rebecca LaChance made a perfect Mabel.

The whole production was so inventive, I have loved the music for years and we were simply swept along. I can't fault it in any way. It will surely transfer to the West End eventually.

Still on Cloud 9! Very Happy

I wondered if you'd seen it yet Eileen. Glad you enjoyed it!
