A gem of a programme with a gem of a presenter.

It was amazing to see this 67 year old climbing up Dow Graig after some mountain biking in Grizedale Forest (probably not all on the same day Wink ) and he wasn't finished there...

The beauty of The Lakes never ceases to stun...

Paul Rose has an adrenaline overdose on his way to Coniston in the latest episode of his Lake District journey. He starts by entering a retro-cycling event on a penny farthing, before joining the mountain bikers of Grizedale Forest. Paul also relives the final moments of Donald Campbell in his attempt to break the world water-speed record on Coniston Water. He ends his trek with a spot of rock climbing at Dow Crag, before the ascent of one of the area's best-known hills, the Old Man of Coniston

I have been watching these Becky as I have had two walking holidays in the Lake District in the last couple of years. I loved the episode featuring Coniston as I explored the town this year and found the graves of Donald Campbell and John Ruskin and went on the steam yacht Gondola to visit Ruskin's house.

I agree that he is a very engaging presenter.
