Sad to hear about his death aged 89. What a tremendous and varied career he had.

And that sketch.. Laughing ...a classic...my all time favourite.

Back then it was unusual to see people from serious professions playing it for laughs...it did it to perfection with Eric and Ernie.

Eric Morecambe reportedly said they would never top it.

I was amused to see that BBC Radio 3's tribute to Mr Previn was half-an-hour of his recordings and compositions, while Classic FM's was to play someone else's version of Grieg's Piano Concerto!
