Thank heavens for The Red Bull Soapbox race which is shown on the Dave channel. This is a programme that I discovered while staying with my sister (something else that I am currently missing and hoping that I can once again do before too long!) This evening there were two races from last year and which were staged in Tokyo & Dallas. They really are great fun to watch in an It's A Knockout kind of way and can have spectacular crashes in them. It certainly has brightened things up for me in this lockdown period.

Not familiar with that,LEE.

For myself I'm catching up with a repeat run of Elementary on Sky Witness with Jonny Lee Miller and Lucy Liu.

Lots of family and friends have started subscribing to Netflix - my son keeps asking me if I have. Probably will in time.

Becky, it's worth having a look at one of the soapbox races. They are staged all over the world, including London. It's proper knockabout fun and you sometimes wonder how the drivers of the carts walk away from the crashes. Of course these are not motorised carts. It is gravity that powers them down hill. When I'm not watching the soap boxes, I sometimes watch a long forgotten sitcom like the pre-'Foggy' Last Of The Summer Wine. It's good to see the cars of the time in the background. Some of the old quiz shows of the 1980s / 90s can be fun to watch, like one I saw where a female contestant was pregnant and it brought it home to me that the baby she was expecting at the time is now an adult!!

Watched one of Red Bull races yesterday,LEE.

Very entertaining watching bonkers (in the nicest possible way) people having lots of fun! Laughing

Talking about quizzes I've watched the drama about the Who Want's To Be A Millionaire scandal and the coughing major, this last week.

Watching their barrister doing the summing up (if I'd have been on the jury) I think I would have acquitted them!
