I just worry this is an excuse to dump the specialist shows to the edges of the schedule forever. I had been thinking Sound of the 90s wasn't going to stay in the early hours much longer and - voila! - suddenly there's a better slot for it by moving Friday Night Is Music Night.

Ian I had a similar thought. Claire Teal is now missing and I wonder if she will come back.
I must admit I'm not listening to very much that is live these days as I'm finding the constant 'tell me what you're doing' style of presenting a big turn off especially just now. I really don't want or need to know!!

Have finally got into attaching my tablet to my Roberts radio (stream 93 and 94) which sadly doesn't connect wirelessly, and the sound is now excellent and I feel like I'm listening to the radio, in the kitchen or upstairs, rather than a tablet. Daft I know but............... Wink

Not strictly connected to the Schedule changes but obviously a result of less people being involve is no playlists to SOTS for 2 weeks now.

Not a huge problem but....... it makes a difference to if I listen or not!

Ah! I'm not entirely sure that's down to the virus or just general cutbacks. They recently closed down the "BBC Music" section of the website, which was much-hyped when they started it just over 5 years ago. The idea was every record played would link to an artist page so you could keep track of your favourite acts and how often they played which songs, as well as links to buy the records or see them live. But they stopped updating that site a few months ago and ever since then some playlists have been incomplete or not filled out at all. It's a shame as I found that function really handy.

I haven't yet listened to either editions of SOTS that I've mentioned so maybe they were recorded in a different way, or even done from Tony Blackburn's home (as Liza Tarbuck's shows are just now). It seems to be the only show that I've discovered so far. Don Black's are still being done and other's I've looked at.

Time will tell.

There were no 'music played' pages to any radio 2 programmes last saturday, so I won't be listening to these shows. To me it is most annoying to hear a record that you may have forgotten about and were hoping to be reminded of, only to be let down because the powers that be are in such a hurry to play a programme trailer for what seems like the millionth time! If they want to save a bit of cash then play less trailers and keep the complete music played lists on your websites, or instruct the DJs to back announce each track they play for the benefit of those who are not 'online'.

Let's hope this also follows on to SOT70s & 80s too as playlists have been missing from these shows as well. As with you Aitch, this helps decide whether I listen or not, if no 'Music Played' page then it's not.

I am the complete opposite to you and Helen,LEE.

I think it's because the songs on SOTS come round quite often Becky and if there are a lot I'm not keen on I don't bother to listen, as I never hear it live. Otherwise I like to have some surprises!
