Our 30th wedding anniversary falls on 18 June 2007, a Monday. On Saturday 16 June, Mrs W will receive an Open University Master's Degree, which will be conferred at the Sage, Gateshead (she's the one with the brains and I'm the one with the subtle compensating qualities!).
It should be a great weekend, the more so as all the family are joining us.
The cherry on the cake would be if our old mate Brian Matthew could see his way to playing a request for us on SOTS on 16 June. I'd like to get this in early, to increase the chances of it being included. Can anyone suggest any sixties items which would be suitable for either or both of these events?

'When I'm 64' by The Beatles for the anniversary side of things. Not sure if it's a 1960s track but 'Party' By Elvis Presley for the general celebratory atmosphere. _________________ Lord Evan Elpuss, Your ideal job is a Lumberjack. |

How corny/slushy do you want it to be, Ian?
There's this http://www.tsrocks.com/c/cliff_richard_texts/how_wonderful_to_know.html which was a minor hit for Pearl Carr & Teddy Johnson in April 1960 as well as being on Cliff's album 21 Today in 1961, so it just qualifies for SOTS. Haven't a clue what it sounds like, though. _________________ Ron |

Thanks for suggestions. I don't mind a little corn or slush! I've got the Pearl Carr/Teddy Johnson track on a double CD of Family Favourites and it could be very fitting. Neither of us is quite 64 yet, but it happens that we married on Paul McCartney's birthday, so something by him could be very suitable. But keep the suggestions coming for another day or two at least.
