Come On England! Our first football World Cup semi final since 1990, against Japan on Wednesday. They surely are teaching the so called men a lesson. |

Completely agree Schiz - I think they have a real chance of winning this competition and if they do arguably - given the fact that few gave them even a chance before the start of the tournament it might be a greater achievement than that of 1966 _________________ Are you ready for a Ruddles? |

I listened to their last match in bed. Not long after the Canadians scored I fell asleep so it was terrific news to hear, the next morning, that our women had come through as winners!
Well done them!
The 'Lionesses' are calling for the nation's backing so might have to see if I have any matchsticks for tonight's midnight kick-off.
C'mon Lionesses! |

The girls have already done much better than the men's team, who didn't even make the knockout stage in Brazil last year. So yes, come on girls & do your country proud!! _________________ Lord Evan Elpuss, Your ideal job is a Lumberjack. |

Desperately unlucky. England were by far the better team in the second half and hit the woodwork twice.
And Japan should never have been awarded the penalty, the push was clearly outside the area. The referee and assistant were useless.
But on the whole the ladies had a great tournament |

Yes - a very unlucky way to go out but overall the ladies have done this country great credit _________________ Are you ready for a Ruddles? |

Good luck to the Lionesses for tomorrow night's match against Germany.

And so they did!! Congratulations to the Lionesses on winning the Women's Euros 2022, the first national team to win a major footy trophy since the men's 1966 world cup team. Very well done ladies! _________________ Lord Evan Elpuss, Your ideal job is a Lumberjack. |

They certainly did!
And I think, on balance, they deserved to win. Brilliant win.
Chloe Kelly made me laugh when she left the on air interview to celebrate with her teammates.
This interviewing straight afterwards is, imo, a bit daft - in the swimming in the Commonwealth games half of the time they are so out of breath they can hardly string two words together.
Leave them to celebrate with their families, friends and backroom staff and do the interviews later when they've collected themselves. |
