Did anyone watch? It was a great battle and Judd Trump made such a terrific comeback to make it 9-9 after being 9-4 down. I have never seen such a delighted loser as Judd with smiles all over his face as he congratulated Ronnie. I expect it was a relief to have been able to make a real fight of it and to take away pride in his performance.
Well done Ronnie - broken ankle and all. |

Here we are again - a year later and I am talking to myself . Did anyone see Neil Robertson's terrific maximum break this afternoon? The Chinese chap Liang is doing well to be only two frames behind at the tea interval when Mark Selby failed to take a single frame from Robertson in yesterday's semifinal.
If it isn't over by 9pm I shall be watching with headphones on while I get my Sunday night Radio2 fix from Clare Teal and Don Black . |

Regards talking to yourself,Eileen I shouldn't worry too much...it's when you start answering yourself that I think you have to start worrying.
I've been out at an Arts and Craft Fair today looking(with some success) for stocking fillers so I haven't really had the time to watch the snooker.
I see Robertson won. |

Different event but..
Oh my goodness James Cahill an amateur from little ol' Blackpool has beaten Ronnie Sullivan in the World Snooker Championship. Okay it would seem that Ronnie wasn't 100% but still...James never looked fazed. |

I saw a profile of Cahill on the local news which reckoned this would happen. Still a surprise though! |

Well he's out, but not without a fight. A good show by an amateur whose name will never be forgotten at this championship! |

Jimmy White says he needs to beat Stephen Hendry "big time" when the two old rivals face off in Monday's World Championship qualifier.
The two snooker legends were paired together in the draw, with Hendry making a comeback after last playing in the event nine years ago.
White says he is battling for his Tour future against the man who beat him in four previous finals in the 1990s.
"It is what it is, I'm fighting to stay on Tour," White told BBC Scotland.

John Parrot was on Radio 4 this morning talking about this match. Said he thought 58 year old Jimmy would beat 52 year old Stephen Hendry purely because Jimmy is still active on the circuit.
Think it might be being televised on Eurosport - not sure though. |
