I am working my way through this wonderful series of books which features forensic archaeologist Ruth who lives in north Norfolk and is called in to help the local police in various investigations.
It is important to read the series in order starting with "The Crossing Places" and I am about to start the eleventh one, with just four more to go after that. It is important because references are made in passing to previous happenings, we see the development of the recurring characters and especially the ongoing relationship between Ruth and DCI Harry Nelson.
Thoroughly recommended! |

Sounds like something that could be taken up as a TV series,Eileen.
Have watched Manhunt - The Night Stalker on ITV this week. A chilling but gripping account of a man who terrorised a part of London for years. |

I hope that never happens, Becky. They would "sex it up" and make the characters two-dimensional. |

Well ... I have now nearly finished reading the entire series of 15 books for the second time and loving them just as much.
I am looking forward very much to getting the new book called "Elly Griffiths' Norfolk" which has photos and descriptions of places featured in the series.
I have visited many of them during my Norfolk holidays and can't wait to go there again. |
