I did click on it and you have to pay $10 to remove them. _________________ Lord Evan Elpuss, Your ideal job is a Lumberjack. |

I think the forum owner is the person who would be expected to pay. Personally I just see a narrow greybar marking the place where the advert is... thanks I presume to Kaspersky Security Suite's anti-ad/anti-banner settings. _________________ ~~~ Niblet ~~~

I used to see ads but recently I don't see the ads, just a grey box (your ad here), maybe there's a blocker removing them or bizhat have decieded ads here is a waste of time |

Some of the ads appeared a few days ago but like you John, I'm now only getting a grey bar with "Your Ad Here". Don't look at them anyway.... _________________ Author: “To the Ends of the Earth: A Snapshot of Aviation in North-Eastern Siberia, Summer 1992”

Ah, just looking via my laptop and I can see the ads now, I have a pop-up blocker on but that doesn't stop 'em.
So my desktop seems to block the ads somehow (it also blocks the R2ok banner).
The ads seem in the main harmless but I have seen some soft porn-looking ones with women's backsides wearing only G-strings which doesn't offend me directly but I don't want to be seeing that stuff with the family looking over my shoulder as they walk past.

That's the problem with free forums, you are stuck with the ads that the board provider see's fit. |
