I just happened on a trail for this while setting the box to record something else. Seems this was on BBC4 this Sunday gone (Nov 21st) at 8pm.
I'm unsure when it was recorded or broadcast originally but is now on iPlayer but will delete (from SKY catch up anyway) Dec 21st so don't leave it to watch for Christmas!

Thanks Helen
I saw this advertised but had too many programmes recording to record it.
It is one of three productions to be screened on consecutive Sunday nights.
BBC announces Sunday Night Musicals series
As previously reported, the series kicks off this Sunday 21 November at 8pm (GMT) with the 2014 Royal Albert Hall staging of Kiss Me, Kate.
The two additional productions set for broadcast include the 2017 West End production of An American in Paris and John Wilson on Broadway from the 2012 BBC Proms.

Thanks for the original notice which I missed Becky!

More and more these days music is needed to lift the spirits ( the cricket certainly can't be relied on if last night is anything to go on. ) and listening to this just now is hitting the spot.
Brilliant stuff with a great orchestra and wonderful singers singing classic songs. |
