Phil Swern has a show on Boom Monday at 6pm playing 'hidden gems' from his vast record collection.
Maybe worth a listen!

This sounds good, thank you Helen. I heard it mentioned but didn't catch when it was on. _________________ Pirate Johnnie Walker played my request on 11 April 2009 |

Enjoyed the Phil Swern, H. Not so much the covers one.
Nice to hear Elton's Lady Samantha get a play. I remember him doing that on (I think) Lift Off with Ayshea. He walked on, towards the camera with a mike and no piano, snazzy flares and I think it was an all in one. Anyway, I've never forgotten it and it remains one of my favourites of his. DJM later put it on a b-side of Honky Cat, I think it was, along with It's Me That You Need.
I'll take the anorak off now... _________________ life is what happens to you while you're busy making other plans |
