Very sad news about Sir Bobby.
A true legend.
Lots of lovely remembrances of him from the public flooded into my local News station last night plus some lovely memories of him from Sammy McIlroy.
Geoff Hurst ( the last member of the winning 1966 team still alive ) must have felt a unique loneliness at this news.
R.I.P Sir Bobby. 🌹 |

Bobby was my childhood hero, along with Greavsie. Nobody has ever hit a ball so hard. With both feet, too. What a man he was. Something that is lesser known, is his charity work.
