When they used to broadcast Junior Choice from Great Ormond Street Hospital, I used to wonder why they'd named a hospital after Gregg Allman (I'm guessing this was not long after Duane Allman died, and Johnnie Walker used to play 'Jessica' a lot).

Freelancing. I doubt that Big L will hire him full time. Not because he isnt talented though.

He's on board the LV18 broadcasting with the Pirates on BBC Essex at 1 o'clock today John.

When I hear the opening bars to Sing Something Simple, I'm going to do what I always wanted to do when the programme was in its heyday........ I'm going to throw a radio out of the window.
That programme gave me nightmares. When it started on a Sunday evening it was a stark reminder that it was school the next day. And what a miserable show it was too.
I hated it! |

Well, I'm not going to throw the radio out of the window, but I echo your sentiments about the show evoking nightmares because it was school the next day. It was also a bit of a crunch coming hot on the heels of the Top 40 on R1. My dad liked it, though, so it stayed on. I'll probably end up listening to it because it will make me remember him....

I've asked for Three Wheels On My Wagon (New Christy Minstrels) on the upcoming Christmas Eve Junior Choice for my niece, because her mum sings it to her in the car!
I think it was Alan Carr who asked for this in the Evening Post when asked which song he'd choose to have on his I-pod. But he said he'd change the title to 'One Song On My I-Pod'!
My sister once tried to buy Rock A Bye Nursery Rhyme (Rockin' Berries) for my birthday because it was on the show a lot!

Funny you should mention the Archers. Mrs W was a lifelong fan and then suddenly dropped Ambridge from her life earlier this year. I think the David/Ruth/Sam love triangle proved to be the final straw.
