Tim Smith Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes

I've discovered a new meaning to the word 'boring' this morning.... the lowlight being crashing the end of one tune to calculate on air how long he had before introducing the pips at 0700. Rolling Eyes

Even the jingle singers sound terminally disinterested when they sing his name.

I'm enjoying his show so far - I don't see what's wrong with him.

I totally agree, he's just DULL, just going through the motions of filling time. Confused . Makes the next programme, what ever it is, sound exciting.

''Did you see what I did there?'' I don't care Mo! Go and play on your allotment, while I find another station.

Tim Smith ... is a typical mobile DJ in a van .... turns up ... churns out the same old routine as he did for the last gig... takes his fee then humps his gear in the back of his van and drives away..........he has no real talent ... it's just tried and tested formulaic niff-naff, the sort of stuff you got at a 70s Thursday-night school disco .......there's no USP, no interesting chit-chat. There's nothing wrong with his show if it was in the right place .... a wedding reception or an end of term school party.... but it's not the stuff for Radio 2.... gets a big thumbs down from me........

Filler - and not particularly good filler at that. Sad

Thumbs down from me, too.

Timmy is basically Stevo's stooge and having heard his 'go-it-alone' radio show, it's obvious why. He's like a plumber you'd find in the middle of Yellow Pages - wont rip you off, does an ok job, but leaves a bit of a mess on the bathroom floor after he's finished.

Question is, if 'she who must be deranged' Lesley Douglas, see's fit to dump Mr Right, what happens to Tim?....Goodbye Radio 2, hello 8 times less salary, 'Smooth Radio'

Minster FM takes the entire biscuit packet for being worse than Dutta!

Whereas with Dutta you felt he was only on because he would play the racism card should he get complaints, some of Minster FM's presenters seem to be presenting the Daily Mail on radio with their anti-female, pro-war comments.

I endure Minster FM on a Saturday morning because of the temporary manager in the shop I help in. The guy evidently couldn't manage a proverbial in a brewery, and resembles the wallaby at Flamingoland my niece wanted to see, because he turns a BLIND EYE to the problems going on in the shop.

Even the worst local commercial radio at drivetime sounds better than Evans on radio 2. And boy is there some bad local radio around. Even Mo dutta sounds half-decent.

What kind of name is Mo Dutta?

Ok, I've long been a somewhat supporter of Mo but today was a bit of a let down, Mo seemed to be struggling for links and came over as...well, struggling for links!!

Word to the wise, Mo....get better....or is that get well (in the style of the once good Mo Dutta)

Going by the ten minutes I heard this morning, the only direction he could get was better, Andy.... in fact, I'm amazed I listened that long. Surprise, surprise, the imminent arrival of the 'quiz' forced me to reach out of bed and switch his inane blethering off....

Mohit, I think - I seem to recall him being billed as Mohit Dutta for some of his more serious TV work.

I actually like Mo Dutta and think that there are lots of presenters who are "worse"... not sure why he has so many people who dislike him on here.

I often wonder why that is too.

I don't like what I've heard of Mo Dutta ( which isn't much ) or Richard Allinson ( which is too much ) or Dermot O'Blimey simply because I just don't like their voice or mannerisms.

But what else is there? I hear you ask.

Well, I really like to hear Rick Wakeman, Bob Harris, Johhnie Walker or Steve Wright because I think I'd like them personally, say in the pub, and as we're roughly the same age, we share similar "things" from our time on this earth. In a loose sense of course...
