Psychological assessments should become part of the UK driving test, a road safety expert has urged.
Robert Gifford, director of a road safety charity, told BBC Radio Five Live the current system failed to root out drivers prone to breaking rules.

It is true your attitude does change once you are out on your own. I mean I be driving for over 20 years now, it has got worse over the years. |

You have been driving for one week after passing your driving test.
Would you
A) affix a green "P" to the rear of your vehicle to let other drivers know you are inexperienced, keep to the speed limits and adopt a cautious attitude or,
B) Don a baseball cap and drive like a complete knobhead at rediculous speeds racing your spotty friend along the dual carriageway, justiculating to other road users who get in the way whilst listening to 1000watt sound system playing brain deadning tripe?
After you Cecil... No. After you Claude.... |
