6.00 Elaine Paige on Sunday
7.00 Melodies for You
8.30 Sunday Half Hour
9.00 Russell Davies
10.00 Malcolm Laycock
11.00 David Jacobs
12.00am Janice Long

I've heard 'Rumours' by Fleetwood Mac. Rolling Eyes
I've heard the news, there's good rockin' tonight. Rolling Eyes
I've heard the bluebirds sing. Rolling Eyes
I've heard some people say that I'm a dreamer. Rolling Eyes

Shouldn't this be added to Fantasy Schedules Section?

It's a shame if this is fantasy, for it would make quite an acceptable schedule!

I agree the schedule looks fine until 6pm when it goes rapidly downhill until midnight when the decent stuff comes back on.

I don't think Two Stepper will mind if I translate this...
Very Happy
Gosh! I feel like I've heard all of this nonsense before; in the dark days leading up to the demise of the old R2 MBs. It's the same boring people with different screen names on a different forum, saying the same boring but not very nice things about the same presenters. Sod this for a packet of biscuits, I'm going to the Frog and Frigate for a tall cool one.

Didn't you come here from the wreckage of the old beeb Shows and Music board ? It was infested with the same threads week in and week out , all about Sarah Kennedy, Sunday nights, Michael Parkinson and they were all started by the same bunch of people, the brit/bill/sock puppet wazzocks and one or two that are on here. It's looking like it's starting on here the same old same old Sunday nights are crap from 6 til 12 blah, blah, zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz .

Edited @ 19:57 to spare the blushes of a sensitive poster Rolling Eyes

I certainly did not! I came here because I was attracted to the superior contributions of the likes of Scott (for his wit, intelligence and common-sense posting), MarkO for his insightful peeks into life in the UK and for his up-to-the-wire News Bulletins that are sometimes more timely than a weekly newspaper that's been delivered late... and Ernie's er.......... um....... well whatever.

I will have none of that. I don't like to see people criticising presenters at all. It's most undignified (unless the presenter's name ends in Evans).

Cool

Says who? Steve Wright with his fake "Love the show" letters, e-mails and recorded messages?

What I want to know is what's the gig with Sarah K.'s listeners getting all chummy with her and signing off letters and emails with "SWs to you"? It sounds ridiculous!

I've just noticed you used the "W" for Woolworths word in your posting. Will the Headmaster impose punishment? How about 100 lines saying "Thou shall not misbehave in class"?

If the truth be known, the SW probably stand for "soda and whiskey".

Scott,

two-stepper has a point, we've heard all your rantings about the same shows too often here and elsewhere. You don't actually discuss the shows, you just rant about them Rolling Eyes

Rule 2: Continual spamming of opinions, especially opinions moaning about a particular presenter or show, will not be tolerated......

firewirefred, I observe, can discuss and comment about aspects of the shows he dislikes, explaining in detail what disappoints him about the Evans show etc etc

DON'T single me out, John. What about Two Stepper using the term "wankers" in his posting? If you're going to be a moderator, then moderate.

Scott,

Moderators here have set certain words to be auto-replaced, not that one.

Here's one of your recent postings that does NOT discuss the shows being discussed:

Quote:
On the contrary, Chris Evans can be very entertaining on the radio. I have never rated his TV work, but he was brilliant on the old Radio 1 breakfast show. He was also pretty good on Saturday afternoon Radio 2. I just don't think Drivetime is the right slot for him. He would be much better off on the 2.00 - 5.00pm slot in place of His Royal Smugness aka Steve Wright.

As for Sarah Kennedy, I have never found her entertaining in any shape or form - not even when she hosted Game For A Laugh.

It's just the same things said again and again about the presenters with no discussion. Rolling Eyes

Don't avoid the question, John. What action are you going to take against the foul-mouthed poster? If I had have come on here using such foul language then you would have thrown a hissy fit.

Is it one rule for one and another rule for everyone else on here?

The offending post has been edited, would have done it earlier but Des Carrington was on. Razz

I watched EastEnders instead (the soap is highly recommended by Mark Occomore).

Thank you for the compliment John (honest)! However, in Scott's defence he does wave a proverbial red rag to those proverbial bulls who see red and then head directly towards it. Having been taunted, they then head in the direction of teacher and complain.

There are a few things I disagree with Scott about - I really like Parky's contribution to the channel (mainly because I like swing and jazz as he does) - but I've managed to have a laugh with (and at) Scott simply because I know he's doing it tongue-in-cheek, as indeed I am.

Where I do draw the line is that I will not be rude or dafamatory about anyone (well, perhaps with the exception of a presenter whose name begins with "Chris" and ends with "Evans", mentioning no names of course) as it's counter-productive and un-necessary. And, of course, rude.

At the end of the day, of course, it's just a forum!

Hello two stepper. I left the talk country forum (now defunct) as I was fed up with the same five people posting. I have no desire to join the rednecks forum led by the Toby Keith fan who keeps bragging about his wallet. As Mel Tillis observed, a man can make money but money cannot make the man. Very Happy
