Just announced Clive, Emmerdale's longest serving actor and character in Jack Sugden, has passed away after a short illness at the age of 63.

Terrible news. RIP.

Thanks for this.

The obituary in the Telegraph mentioned that he was once a member of 60s group the Dennisons, who have been heard on SOTS quite recently.

By the way, Mark--was that you whom I heard receiving a namecheck from Tim Smith yesterday morning?
