Seems Matthew Wright has left The Weekender, and Claudia will be taking over from next week.
Mixed feelings about this: I quite like the show despite not warming to Wright. I've always felt Jack Doherty to be a better presenter than Claudia though. |

According the website Matthew is still listed. Where did you get that information from? |

I know she's very cute. I believe she stood in for Mark Radcliffe when he did late show? |

On the few occasions I tuned in on Friday nights, I thought Matthew Wright was very good. Not so sure on Claudia, though. I seem to recall her popping up in R2 schedules time gone by (with Radcliffe/Maconie?) and I wouldn't say her presenting is anything special.
Still, Mark Lamarr's always worth a listen after the Weekender! |

Just because I don't provide a link doesn't mean it's not true! I could have spent time putting the link in, but that could have taken longer (although not another 5 hours like Iain Smith! )

Shame Matthew is leaving Radio 2. I liked him when he stood in for Steve Wright. |

I would respectively suggest you are in a team of few regarding Matthew Wright.
Whenever I have heard him on the radio he strikes me as having the personality of a out of date lettuce.
I certainly would say "he won't be missed".
Goodbye/Good Riddance.
Welcome Claudia. |

I think Matthew is a good broadcaster. Shame he's leaving Radio 2. |

Personally I couldn't stand Wright. I thought he dumbed down the programme and turned it into something that only a chav would call arts but I never got over Sheridan Morley going. I used to like La Frostrup though. I'll give Claudia a go (so to speak!) _________________ I will not be pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed, debriefed or numbered. |

It is a truth universally acknowledged that anyone called Wright should never be allowed with five miles of a microphone.
I missed last night's show but I was distinctly underwhelmed with the first one. I'll give it another go, though _________________ I will not be pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed, debriefed or numbered. |
