Rumours over on the BBC Points of View Board suggest Terry Wogan is finally leaving the weekday breakfast show and is going to be replaced by Chris Evans.
If this happens then this is an excellent decision.
Not sure if the rumour of Pete Mitchell taking over on the Drivetime Show is a good move though.

1) Two failed breakfast shows. Quite a good record isn't it?
2) I suspect it would be on a par with the uproar when the whinger turned Drivetime into 'Driveltime'. And perhaps nearly up to the level of the outrage on the 6 music message boards over Douglas' most disasterous move on 6 music, which was the removal of Gideon Coe to a late night spot and the parachuting of George Lamb into his old morning spot. Went down like the proverbial lead balloon did that one. And at least two (Non complimentary) features on R4's Feedback programme to boot!
3) Hope you are right malcyb!

I agree it would be convienient for Chris but there is small matter of STW chucking his notice in to complete equation.
None of us know if he has or not and no amount of speculating is going to force him to retire. |

I could agree with some who would want him on Breakfast and really there is Know one else at present strong enough to take the Early job off Wogan.
It's also been mentioned many times before he's not a morning person. Time will tell if the unfounded rumours come true, don't hold your breath yet? |

I've just looked up past messages of 80's Legend. His posting about Evans seems to have been cut'n'pasted from somewhere as his spelling and grammar in other messages reminds me of someone here.....

Why would I waste my time posting something like CE is going to move to blah, blah show on Radio 2? I have better things to do. Also John, I like to remind you that 100's of people post on the BBC boards so narrowing it down is having a dig at me.
