Did anyone listen to Barbra Streisand on Paul Gambuccini's show last night? A two hour special. I did fall asleep for part of it- not out of boredom, but i'm down with a cold and dosed up with paracetamol.
But an excelent show.
BTW, I am not a Wossy fan, but i thought his interview with Streisand friday on BBC1 was superb
I thought Ross was at his best on this show, & him interviewing a singer with a few prominent R's in her name was brave for starters.
Streisand in great form |

I didn't hear PG's radio show but I did catch a fair chunk of JR's TV show and yes, it was very entertaining and he did seem to be on his best behaviour but then, in the presence of such a mega star - who wouldn't be?
She gave the impression she hadn't sung for a while... not sure if that's correct but she still sounded fantastic... unlike a slightly wobbly Andy Williams on Strictly Come Dancing this Saturday
I was completely smitten with Barbara back in the 70s.. ever since "What's up Doc" with Ryan O'Neil.... swoon.. _________________ Johnnie Walker read out my message on Pirate Radio! 13/8/07
I have heard how radio should be. |

Yes I caught that performance; it was very sad I thought. I'd prefer to remember him as he was. I thought I heard someone say that he's doing a tour - I think there might be a lot of disappointed ticket-holders. _________________ Minx

It might have helped if the orchestra had played the same tune (or arrangement of the same tune) that Andy was trying to sing. It was dreadful all round. _________________ Ron |

Was it better than Jonathan Ross's creepfest on Friday night? The Ross interview was so fawning it made Jools Holland's brown-nosing of Carla Bruni (Mrs. Sarkosi) look like Jeremy Paxman! _________________ We are loonies and we are proud!
