Quote: | Your show is fit for a care home
CHRIS Evans is not the only one having difficulty hitting the right notes for Radio 2 listeners.
Alan Titchmarsh, surely the ultimate exponent of corduroy cool who should be a natural fit for Radio 2, is proving a little too pedestrian for some tastes with his Sunday night show called Melodies for You.
"I like Alan but this show sounds increasingly out of place on the new Radio 2," says one listener on the BBC feedback website. "And lends a depressing air to Sunday nights. It’s a bit like a show that would be piped around a care home.
"Alan, any tips on how to revive an Agave Americana that’s taken a hammering in recent frosts?"
Adds listener Scott Nelson: "Alan Titchmarsh / Melodies for You is a load of old rubbish. The decrepit old programme should have been axed decades ago. Alan Titchmarsh is just one of several reasons why Sunday night Radio 2 is putrid." |

Scott doesn't listen to Alan so how can he comment on a show, which he has no interest in? Exactly...........Point answered. |
