As I may have mentioned I bought a DAB radio that could record on and SD memory card. Unfortunately the DAB didn't work in our house so it went back to the shop and it was back to the drawing board for something to listen to first thing.
A while ago I spotted an ad for an FM programmable cassette radio recorder that didn't cost a fortune so decided to send for it as I was becoming more and more fed up having nothing I liked to listen to. It's a Roberts RC9907 and apart from having to dig out some cassettes it works a treat. I thought even if it will only work until 2015 it will have been worth it and a lot can happen in 5 years...............
It's nothing fancy, a bit fiddly to initially set up and you can only record an hour as it doesn't have auto reverse. Oh but it was a treat to have Deadly read the 5 o'clock news and then have Sarah easy me into the day!
So for £30 some good old fashioned technology has come to the rescue and long may it live on!
