I only caught some of her programme today but I had to laugh at the end when she signed herself out as “Elaige Paine”. She made a joke out of it by saying she was sure she was a pain to some people, which would no doubt have delighted her detractors. I think she's OK. |

I rarely listen to Elaine, but I do regard her show as 'essential' to Radio 2.
Driving today, we did catch Nat King Cole, Diana Ross, Marni Nixon, Liza Minelli, Eddie Cantor, Dionne Warwick so I'm pleased she's playing a great mix of artistes these days! _________________ -

If she didn't gurgle like a drainpipe..... her show would be pretty near the top of my 'don't want to miss' list. _________________ Minx

Agreed, Minx. I'm afraid I feel about her and her presentation the same way some other people feel about someone else. _________________ Ron |

I agree. I used to listen to her show but her incessant cackling drove me away.
Maybe Sarah Kennedy could do the honors? |
