After Steve Wright BIG 5 weeks summer holiday, and said he won't be off until Christmas when he returned - well thats wrong. He's off from 15th November for one week, and Richard Allinson is covering. Yeah!!!!! |

That's the great thing about advance planning: you can change the plan to suit a changing world. I've kinda missed Richard over the last few months. |

According to rumour, Mr Allinson isn't allowed to fill in for Chris Evans because apparently, it made Evans seem the inferior presenter..
But, he is allowed to fill in for Wrighty... Hmmmmm
Luckily for me, my Internet Radio is hot and ready... _________________ Johnnie Walker read out my message on Pirate Radio! 13/8/07

You should never trust rumours though, Santa, they’re usually started by the person who will benefit the most.
I heard a rumour that R2 are looking for an intelligent, witty, vastly-experienced, hard-working, dynamic, blonde-female management-executive with a penchant for great music, wild parties, Chris Evans and Alex Lester: to take on the role of advisor to the R2 Controller. I don’t know where it started though- perhaps it was the R2 Controller who let it slip. |

I heard a rumour that you started that rumour, Rachel. Or was it just a rumour? |

The problem with rumours, Colin, well, some of them, is they’re renowned, no matter how impossible they may seem, for coming true. |

Real DJ who makes shows lively covering real DJ who makes shows lively.
If true Santa, then he will outshine Steve Wright. Will the media report on that this time like back at the beginning of the year when he stood in for Chris Evans. |

"Outshine Steve Wright"??
I very much doubt it Marko.. but he's covered for the top man before hasn't he? I'm sure I recall feeling very drowsy for a week or so whilst he did.. _________________ Johnnie Walker read out my message on Pirate Radio! 13/8/07

Of course Richard will outshine Steve Wright and his zoo-gang.
At least we will get to hear the music played in full, no stupid singing and proper interviews where there is a two-way conversation conducted without constant interruptions etc.
Bring it on. |

Its always good to hear Allinson standing in, but not as good as it is to hear Steve Wright return.
At least we haven't got to put up with the likes of Tarrant or Winton. |

For me the last good CIN was the one for 2003. Those were the days when the music marathon went on for a full 24 hours (7:00pm Thursday - 7:00pm Friday) Which meant that the R2 night shift were involved in it too. I wonder if any pictures still exist for that year. _________________ Lord Evan Elpuss, Your ideal job is a Lumberjack. |

What a great show Steve's is! no wonder he's stayed in this prime slot for so long... Just had Barry from Watford on talking about his new car and making me roll up... It doesn't come better than this I can tell you.
Gary Davies/Allinson will outshine Wrighty? oh dear, don't make me laugh!
Is he still on in the middle of night? I wouldn't know..
However, this afternoon's glorious entertainment session will have to be interrupted shortly as he has - for some reason, Chris Evans spoiling the airwaves... so I'll be off to make a quick cuppa..
Love the daytime, long standing, prime slot show Steve... _________________ Johnnie Walker read out my message on Pirate Radio! 13/8/07

Why have they got him on for anyway? here he is talking about selling his business for £225 million , buying the world's most expensive motor car at an auction... must be great listening for most of the country facing hard times.. _________________ Johnnie Walker read out my message on Pirate Radio! 13/8/07

Have to agree, Ok he may talk over some of it but he is playing some great music as well.

This is the point I've been banging on about Evans for a long while, we don't want to know. |
