Thought it may be a good idea to list shows you think others may be interested in over the festive season. Put anything that you feel we should know about on this thread.
I've been alerted to Bill Kenwright's Golden Years on Boxing Day.

I thought Bill Kenwright's shows that were broadcast over August Bank Holiday last year (2009) to tie in with the Beatles weekend were very good. I'll catch up with his Boxing Day offering on iPlayer after crimbo. I'll be in the pub on boxing day! |

I won't be listening on the day to Bill Kenwright but the show will certainly be on my Listen Again list ....As you know Helen I loved his programmes from earlier in the year
I was going to add this to the list mark had put up as I don't think it was mentioned but here seems a good place to put it...I heard Tony Blackburn say yesterday about a programme he's doing New Year's Eve on Radio 2 from 7 to 10 in the evening ..a pick of Motown,Atlantic and Stax soul and R&B records... |

I'm aware the RT is out Mark but it's very easy to miss something unless you sit and read it cover to cover and felt tip highlight each show!
This was a 'heads up' for shows that you think members would like to hear.
I think my listen again will be on overtime as well Becky!

Why? Why would I want the info printed onto paper when it's easily and freely available on my iPhone? At least I'll be responsible for the felling of one less tree. |

it's part of my Chrtistmas ritual to buy the RT, highlight all the things I want to watch/listen to and then find that I am too busy etc so most of it is a waste of time. I save trees the rest of the year instead! |

A well-earned week off for SOTS. Having Stewpot in that slot is very nearly as welcome.

A well worn Christmas tradition! it was so much easier in the 70's only three channels, a handful of radio stations and no easy way of recording them!
Now you need a colour code of highlighters, watch, listen, record on recorder 1 or record on recorder 2! |

More evidence how Smooth is competing with Radio 2. They have a documentary about Kirstyt MacColl at 1PM on Sunday! |

Not really considering it's Boxing Day, so not a normal Sunday.

When I was a kid you wouldn't have Sunday 26th as 'Boxing Day', it was moved to the Monday! _________________ -

Even so it's not a normal Sunday schedule that day. There's no Alan Titchmarsh for one thing.
