Just want to mention a show that I only discovered this summer. If you like the instrumental/orchestral music that would've featured on Radio 2 in the last 60s and early 70s it's worth seeking this one out on Radio Six International based in Scotland: http://www.radiosix.com/schedule.html
Tony's show last week featured an interview with George Martin, but about his orchestral albums rather than The Beatles. In the last couple of weeks you'd also have heard Johnny Pearson, Laurie Johnson, Dave Brubeck, Herb Alpert, Tony Hatch, James Last, Bill McGuffie, Keith Mansfield, David Snell, Edwin Astley, Sounds Incorporated, Andre Brasseur and Ron Goodwin. |
