Come on folks, do the decent thing. Listen to something else - you owe it to yourselves and your sanity. Anyone who listens to this utter crap deserves everything they get. (The idiot who comes on after isn't much better either........ )
Abstinence is the route to salvation. Really. |

On Sunday Michael Ball expressed, rather forcefully, his displeasure about a "celebrity" texting during the Olivier Awards. He gave a fairly big hint that it was VF. |

I've also noticed just recently, that VF is becoming increasingly insistent upon the fact that she feels her opinion, on any subject, is hugely important.
Thereby, she joins the ranks of the Over-inflated Ego Brigade along with the likes of Evans, Wright, Dedicoat and Tarrant.
Just play the records (or have your producer play them- there's a love, eh) and chat a bit in between thanks. Your grandiose proclomations on matters large are small are not warranted or welcome. _________________ He's not the Messiah- he's a very naughty boy! |

I don't listen either, but it's some consolation to know she doesn't seem to be getting any better as I trust the comments made here about her.
I used to record an hour of her predecessor to play when Evans is on but have turned to my internet radio and now listen to Cool 98.7 that comes out of North Dakota. It's still the middle of the night over there and not too much chat or that many ads and it eases me into the day!

A station like Channel 5 stand or fall on their viewing figures due to advertising revenue so she probably is on shaky ground- but over at the mug-funded BBC, she's a lot safer as the management won't admit to making a mistake in hiring her in a month of Sundays, even if her listening figures drop to about 3 men and a dog (that Jordan pops up everywhere, doesn't she? ) _________________ He's not the Messiah- he's a very naughty boy! |

Vanessa was talking about her new bath this morning- we fell out of bed laughing. It's a classic case of form over function. We did exactly the same thing with our new bathroom. |

I think , John, it's one of those things, you know, where, you had to be there.... you could try the iplayer. But to save you the trouble I’ll paraphrase here. Vanessa’s new bath is one of those large double round ended deep baths with the taps in the middle on one side, and the plug hole under your bottom if you try to lie down, which you can’t really, in any comfort, cos it’s almost vertical at each end but if you do suffer the pain to lie down , your bottom is on the plughole, which is not an ordinary plug hole but a fancy one operated from a knob but, they leak if you sit on them, so then you have to top up the bath with hot water which lands right on your tummy. It’s a really poor design. We have the same problem with our square shallow sided flat bottomed sink , looks great but you cant use it – cos water sloshes everywhere! |

About 1.11.00 on iplayer.
The vision it conjures up is certainly comical.
What on earth was she looking at when she chose it?
The fridge/freezer saga made me laugh as well. She's not doing much for the image of blondes, is she? |

I fell asleep after listening to Mark Radcliffe last night, the penalty being that I woke up to Vanessa Feltz (on the radio, although I now see that it could have been worse).
Is there no end to the trite drivel that this woman spouts? Reading out reams of 'new' words that her 'lovely listeners' have made up with their oh so clever definitions. I've lost count of the times I've heard references to 'Jubilympics' in the months since it was used in the BBC's 2012. And it just went on and on.
And apparently Rumer sounds sooooo like Karen Carpenter - does she think that this is news to anyone??
I'd love to say that I was appalled, horrified, traumatised, disgusted etc, but even now am just saddened and disbelieving at how bad it all was. Absolutely rank broadcasting. _________________ "There are more of us now......that makes us right" |

Agreed. That said, I've long since deserted Radio 2 until well after 9.30am so I'm a bit out of touch. I couldn't stand being one of her "lovely listeners" though, it should be said! |

Nope. She's glad to be out of it and I'm guessing she wouldn't want to touch R2 again with a bargepole. Can't say I blame her. |

It's beyond parody now.
'Contact me with your creative ways with bacon, and can you come up with recipes that put together chicken, bacon, and chocolate - and now I'll read the newspapers to you....'
Does no-one at the BBC actually listen to the radio and hear what utter peurile rubbish this is?
In all seriousness, what is the most direct and effective way to express my disgust at the time and money spent on this broadcasting abomination? The dog is no longer listening and I won't kick the cat. _________________ "There are more of us now......that makes us right" |

I gave up on it almost as soon as she took over the slot, so I'm out of touch really. However, what does amaze me is the number of listeners who do actually conspire to perpetuate things by emailing and texting suggestions to her on the most banal of topics. There's an endless stream of the stuff - so what exactly is wrong with people? There must be millions of people who are so easily pleased.
It's been Radio 4 for me for some time now. Pity they don't include decent music in the Today programme! It would then be described as The Thinking Person's Jeremy Vine show at Breakfast! |

After seeing this tweet from Radio 2 this morning. I think everyone should give the show a miss?

Vanessa Feltz is on-air with Early Breakfast and after bacon was voted Britain's favourite food, she wants to know - how do you eat yours? |

She is Colin, and I thought the exactly the same thing!
Some years ago a friend and neighbour of mine was at a big Jewish wedding in Manchester where VF's daughter was one of the bridesmaids. VF must have been on one of her diets at the time as my friend said she looked 'fabulous'. It was the same wedding where Tony Bennett walked into the hotel (Crowne Plaza in Man) reception and was sat having a drink after doing a show at the Palace theatre. The bride's mother saw and recognised him and he did an impromtu song at the wedding reception! My friend mentioned it the next day, then it was in the papers the following day.

12 Minutes into the show. Creative way how you do a bacon sarnie? Maybe she forgot her religion.
I suppose you can't stop talking about food, but maybe she could have chosen a different subject, or blame the producer? |
