He still is live in Manchester as I write unless anyone knows different
There's no law against people broadcasting from outside London if they so choose
What's the problem?

Perhaps he's appearing in Countdown again? It's now recorded at the ITV Studios in Manchester (Granada) as opposed to the old Yorkshire TV studios in Leeds, which no longer exist. |

I should think Countdown is the reason, he'll appear on screen in about 6 weeks.
