Fantastic hearing Simple Minds on Radio 2 in concert. It was recorded at the Forestry Commission Live Music Concerts in Thetford Forest as part of their UK Tour. Jim Kerr band been going for 32 years now and still going strong. I do love the old back catologue.
Dont You Forget About Me, Belfast Child, Alive and Kicking name but a few.. |

Interesting to note that when it's some worthy or slightly older band, they give Jo Whiley the push and get Johnnie Walker in instead.
Still a crushingly dull show though! |

There is not enough of Johnnie Walker....I could listen to his voice all day.

Got to admit i have a soft spot for simple minds.When i was in my early teens it was them,U2 and big country that we were into.I have to say i was more of a big country fan and was gutted when Stuart passed away

Good to hear them but I would have liked the full 2 hour show they recorded and not an hour of being told they were coming on at 9pm and reading of texts etc. At least it was JW  |
