Blondie performed live on Ken Bruce's programme today playing new music and some of their hits. I meant to listen, I promised myself that I would...I forgot and even listened to stations I wasn't particularly interested in.
And I was typing on here now I suddenly remembered(bit late now )
I tuned in to hear Barry Manilow who they said was going to perform live and all he did was play around on the piano giving quick snatches of his music and it was all over in approx 10 minutes.
I assume Blondie performed a complete set. |

They were excellent GG and you can catch the whole session on television from tonight by pressing the red button from any BBC channel
I won't spoil it for you but I strongly urge you and anyone else who missed it to watch - it's also available on the Radio 2 website from tomorrow
What a superb band even today _________________ Are you ready for a Ruddles? |

I'm on holiday so I managed to listen this morning and just watched it on the red button. Great set. Has Debbie got a picture in her attic? |

Only heard part but thought they did a brill version of Please Please Me, the band especially.

PS the Barry Manilow session was never supposed to be a full set. _________________ 88 - 91 FM this is Radio 2 from the BBC!
I said it live on air in the studio with Jeremy Vine on 10/3/2005 |

Don't forget the good 'old fashioned' listen again, where it's probably been available much sooner. _________________ Lord Evan Elpuss, Your ideal job is a Lumberjack. |

Just logged on to the above Youtube clip expecting to see the usual overplayed fodder such as Touched By Your Presence Dear, but to my surprise 'Shayla' is a brilliant song! I've just played it three times so it must be good.
I'm not a Blondie fan and only have their Greatest Hits CD. Favourite track? 'Rapture'. |

Thanks for telling me about the video via the red button...I get another chance
The Please Please Me track was an unexpected treat.
I didn't know Manilow was not going to be a complete set and had I known I'd have been tuned to radio 4 listening to some documentaries, I guess they'll be repeated sometime. |

Oh Dear...I listened to Radio 4 until 9.45 and then tuned into Ken Bruce for the live performance of Gilbert O' Sullivan(few if any guests appear in the first few minutes of the programme)and I found GOS had already sung something
And now I am having to sit through music I'm not bothered about and Ken's style of presentation until Gilbert appears again.
They really are making us wait for Gilbert's "Live" session... |

Are you asking or telling us ??? Why do you always add a question mark when you are stating something? |
