He must have done something right! According to today's Irish Mail on Sunday Ryan will be standing in for Ken Bruce from 27th to 30th December. |

I never thought I'd say it but I would actually much prefer Zoe Ball
Why on earth do we have to suffer these foreign imposters when there is plenty of excellent home grown talent if only it was given a chance _________________ Are you ready for a Ruddles? |

That's great news Shaky!
Don't know what happened to Graham Norton during the summer but I'd much rather have Ryan than Graham now, so great that he's covering for Ken. I'd never heard of him before but I've got to say I enjoyed his Saturday shows.

Oh that's a shame......I would much preferred to have had Zoe wittling on about Christmas with her family......
Actually it is a shame as I rarely listen to Radio 2 over the Christmas period and they've finally put someone half decent in for Ken and I won't be listening. |

Totally agree Helen. I thought Ryan was much better than Graham. Now that they've found a decent stand in for the Mighty Bruce perhaps Miss Amateur could be kept to the wekkend dawn chorus slots _________________ I will not be pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed, debriefed or numbered. |

Have enjoyed what I've heard of Ryan so far this week.

Ryan seems to be humerous, erudite, knowledgeable about music and a good interviewee, therefore a perfect standin for Ken as opposed to a dizzy babbling halfwit who still hasn't managed to learn the art of driving the desk even after all her years in the business.
I rest my case m'lud. |

Case proven Mr McCoatup. At least we've been spared the babbling one wittering on about what her bloody kids got for Christmas _________________ I will not be pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed, debriefed or numbered. |

Think Ryan Tubridy has been fine this week and would welcome him back--but he needs to sort out getting the time right if he isn't to become this generation's answer to Jack de Manio!
