Maybe it's just me but isn't the intonation of these 'newbies' just atrocious? To me it just sounds like they are reading a script without giving any thought to the content.
Compared to Fran Godfrey they are just rubbish.

There's a chap called Callum May on at the weekends ( or he was last weekend) I thought he was quite good, and his name made me think of you - same surname. Some of the others are a bit robotic at times but newbies always tend to be ... "careful" until they warm up proper. |

I've heard him as well Rachel (no relative as far as I know!) and he's okay.
I think the worst are a couple of females, Catharine Cracknell (sp?) is one and she's been around for quite a while but is awful. I can't remember the other one's name.
Robotic is a rather good description!

I agree Helen - I find them very irritating although I'm sure they're doing their best but it's simply not up to BBC standards - yet
I think the other person is called Clare Runnables or something similar _________________ Are you ready for a Ruddles? |
