We watched a DVD of One Day last night. What a fab movie, like looking into a mirror of my own love life... apart from the end bit. Lost chances, missed signals, wasted lives, ultimately getting there just too late. I very nearly cried. |

I enjoyed the film (apart from Anne Hatherway's appalling accent) but I thought the book was much better, but then I guess that is often the case. |

I''ve not read the book, hubby has- he didn't' tell me about the end, I wouldn't't have watched it if he had. I assumed that she was an American , cos there was no mention of her family and she sounded American. I just assumed she decided to stay here when finishing uni. |
