This coming weekend Tony Blackburn will be playing all the songs on Pick Of The Pops from Vinyl. The years will be 66 & 76.
Reading around forums people are being misled by false comments thinking Tony and the POTP's team are using vinyl from the Radio 2 playout system. This is untrue. They are really bringing in turntables to the studio to play real vinyl provided by the team " - What you hear is from real live vinyl. No magic tricks. |

Will I get the full vinyl experience / benefit through the radio compression and DAB ? |

I do seem to recall that on the weekend when Alan 'Fluff' Freeman did his very last chart show back in the mid 80's - guess what was at Number One - yes 'The Final Countdown' - spooky or what
