|
|
In a few weeks, mid-July? Graham Norton usually takes a 2-month break. However as it is fast approaching I have heard nothing as to who it will be that will take over. Two years ago, it was Ryan Tubridy. Last year, it was Jon Holmes? Has anyone heard what the plan will be this year? Is Holmes returning or is Graham going to stick around for a longer period? I'm curious as to who it will be during the summer months.
Chris Moyles If they were going to try and gradually ease him to Radio 2, this would be the perfect opportunity. If he could committ to 2 Months?
Sara Cox it depends when Fearne's back on Radio 1? |

I'd be surprised if it were Jon Holmes, as he's doing the XFM breakfast show the rest of week. I expect it'll be Kielty as he seems to be back in favour.
Norton's TV show ends this week so I guess the holiday will be very soon. |

Exactly my thoughts nod! I'm listening less and less to 'Radio Glastonbury/proms in the park or whatever they decide to promote next'. Sorry that should have read Radio 2 but I'm sure you get my drift...........

Won't trouble me. I turn to Classic FM as soon as SOTS is finished.

I am, honestly, amazed that people haven't heard of Rhod Gilbert or seen him. He's had his own series on Radio 2, several of his own series on BBCs One, Two and Three, been a regular on Live At The Apollo, HIGNFY, and various other TV and radio panel shows. He's had one of the fastest-selling comedy DVDs ever and is a Perrier-award winning stand-up comic. His show on Radio Wales has run for nearly a decade and been nominated for numerous awards. Obscure he's not! |

I know who he is Ian, but it doesn't mean I want to listen to him on Radio 2!

I am sorry to amaze you Ian, but thank you for filling in his career for me. Obviously I am behind the times and must do better! As an excuse, I do work long shifts with early starts and find it hard to stay awake in the evenings. _________________ Pirate Johnnie Walker played my request on 11 April 2009 |

Judging from his performance on Radio 2 last Saturday I doubt I'll be listening
He'd certainly be struggling as a panellist on 'Just A Minute' as on Saturday I counted 22 repetitions of the same words in only 45 minutes
I think after the third repetition we all got the message that everyone from R2 had gone off to Glastonbury _________________ Are you ready for a Ruddles? |

Saturday August 3rd
10am to 1pm
Chris Evans presents the show live from Car Fest
So that's the first Saturday covered, we've got Rhod Gilbert covering two in September so that's about 4 to cover. |

I won't be listening, but at least the BBC are getting some content out of CarFest this year rather than the ego-boost it provided Evans with last year. |
