I was once shot at with an air rifle when I used to play golf in the 1980s (I now consider it a good walk spoiled!) - it did wonders for my swing off the 4th tee.... this is just bl**dy dangerous, along the same lines as the toerags who used to think it was a good idea to lob bits of concrete off the footbridges over the A1 Western Bypass at passing motorists a few years back.

are you asking why people like shooting other people or why people like golf

I wouldn't be able to explain the pros of either

I always worry when I pass under a motoway bridge and there are kids on it, a "bit of fun" could turn into a tragedy.

I've known myself to change lanes suddenly at the last minute if I see some lads standing on a footbridge on the Newcastle Western Bypass (making sure there's no-one behind me first, naturally).

Some plonker in the passenger seat of a Clio infront of me this morning decided to toss an empty glass bottle out of his window. Five of them in the car, the rear axle virtually scraping along the ground, tyres splayed out with the weight. Said bottle smashed onto the kerb, throwing glass right across the road in front of me. Nothing behind me, so I slammed the brakes on, got out, and kicked the bigger shards off the road.

What a f**king idiot that kid was! I'm still expecting to get a slow puncture or something yet.... where are traffic cops when you need them? Speed cameras don't pick up people pulling stunts like that. Mad

Rant over.

I know - you get lots of twats like that - shame it gives teenagers such a bad reputation - we're all tarred with the same brush
