You have to listen to it, (the Nancy Wilson) Schiz. Or at least, a few seconds of it. Boulder To Birmingham and Angel From Montgomery are sublime, as well as the better known songs in her choices. I want to see Wild Rose, which Jessie is brilliant in, according to Mark Kermode.
I've enjoyed Anthony Horowitz's TOMY this week, too. He comes across well, as you would expect from someone who gave us Foyle's War!
And of course, one of his tracks was 21st Century... _________________ life is what happens to you while you're busy making other plans |

Raver: I've just listened to the Nancy Wilson version. It is indeed pretty awful. I'd like to throw it off the Tallahatchee Bridge.
The Nina Simone song Sinnerman is wonderful.
By the way, Mr Horowitz' song was not 21st Century Schizoidman but In The Court Of The Crimson King! |

So it was, Schiz! I can only put it down to senility, as it's the stand out track on the album! _________________ life is what happens to you while you're busy making other plans |

Caught up with and thoroughly enjoyed listening to Eddie and Brian Holland choosing their songs for this programme. |

Heard Ken just as Tracks Of My Years had finished. He announced that next week's guest would be Don Black doing a special TOMY ahead of his final show on Sunday 4th October. I think he said he'd been on previously but I may have misheard as I was driving at the time.

' he is universally liked at the BBC.'
And across the country by the sound of it - including me.
Nice article from Miranda.
'James O’Brien's mid-morning show on LBC now has more listeners than Nick Ferrari’s breakfast show on the same channel'
Never thought I'd see a positive ( ) from Covid - but there you are. |

Ken's shows from the Piano Room have been great, these past couple of weeks. Tom Odell yesterday was possibly the best so far.
If he were to retire, then I think that'd be the end of R2 for me, unless they gave his spot to James O'Brien. _________________ life is what happens to you while you're busy making other plans |

Have to agree. I do enjoy Sara Cox and a few of the evening shows but Ken's pretty much the only one I still regularly listen to and all the obvious successors have long left the station. |

Same here, Ian. I like a few of the evening shows - , but it's not that often that I listen or even 'listen again'.
Liza Tarbuck is always one I do make sure to catch and more often than not, also Johnnie Walker and Tony Blackburn's SOTS.
Maybe I'd better change the non-listening to weekdays! _________________ life is what happens to you while you're busy making other plans |

Paulo Nuttini is so, so good. That voice just melts me. Loving him doing Fade Into You in the Piano Room right now. _________________ life is what happens to you while you're busy making other plans |

For once, I'm on topic. This week's TOMY with James Patterson, has been far and away the best I've ever heard. He's certainly lived a life! _________________ life is what happens to you while you're busy making other plans |

Two of these programmes I've enjoyed this week - both music and chat.
Madeline Bell and Stuart Murdoch (Belle and Sebastian)
A good few tracks of the day could have been chosen from both. |
