Just a heads up that there are several this week starting with the first of 2 presented by Ken Bruce tonight at 10 pm. Part 2 tomorrow at the same time.
Tomorrow the memorial service will be live from 12 noon but coverage begins at 11.30.
There is a TV programme on Friday but I don't have timings (sorry).
I'll likely record them all to listen later.

Thanks Helen. I think - but am not absolutely sure - that the Memorial Service is being shown on the BBC TV News Channel. |

Well, Helen, I hope I am right about that. I do remember that the service for Cilla Black was on the BBC TV News Channel. |

Lovely memories and some tears shed listening to the programmes dedicated to Sir Terry today... he was a giant of broadcasting and is still very much missed.
The first song that Jeremy played on his first programme was Make Someone Happy by Jimmy Durannte...Terry once played that for me.
Bob Harris tweeted this picture...
(Sorry it's a bit big) |

Very moving service, I hope it helped his family & friends a little bit.
I liked the Chris Evans tribute and I loved Peter Gabriel, in fact it made me cry. For me though The most moving part was the poem Ken Bruce read out, I hadn't heard it before and I found it so poignant.
Still miss hearing Terry's lovely soft voice. |

Also, I was struck by what I found out is the Irish version of the hymn we know as Lord of all Hopefulness. I had not heard that version before and I thought it was lovely. |
