Sorry it title not absolutely correct but just wanted to give a heads up if you have not listened already to Part 1. Read it in Gillian Reynolds Radio pages in Sunday Times this morning. Tonight is episode 2, I'll have to listen back to last week's.

Good work H. What a treat! JT is such talented fellow. He did a brilliant live session the other week on Ken's show - Gary Davies was sitting in at the time.
I'll have to catch last week's, once I've finished in the kitchen.
Thanks again, for some welcome good news... _________________ life is what happens to you while you're busy making other plans |

I just caught up listening to this on Sounds on my tablet connected to my Roberts radio which has superb accoustics and played the 2 episodes back to back.
James isn't the best presenter but oh how I loved the whole show, the music and the anecdotes. Made me realise what we no longer have on Radio 2 and it really took me away from all the worries that surround us just now.
Think I'll record on the laptop as I'll come back to it some day I'm sure. Also time to look up some older shows and re listen.

I heard both yesterday and enjoyed a lot. I didn't know it was going to be various artists performing new and old versions of standards.
I'd never heard The Mavericks interpretation of Blue Moon, which I though was the best version of all. Great stuff. _________________ life is what happens to you while you're busy making other plans |

Raul Malo has a great voice Raver, I think I'd heard it once before but agree it's a great version of the song.

Yes, I've always liked Raul's singing, Helen. I don't hear much from them these days, sadly. The whole easy arrangement is just superb, in my humble and befits the song.
