|
|
Helen Thomas has become Radio 2's "Head of Station" with Lewis Carnie leaving in the summer.
Helen has been Head of Commissioning since 2018, and Head of Station is a newly-created role appointed by Head of Pop, who presumably reports to Head of Music, who reports to Head of Sounds, etc. And to think the BBC are accused of having too many middle-managers!
Anyway, Helen used to produced the Chris Evans shows on Saturday and then Drivetime, and then Breakfast and overall has been with Radio for 17 years so should really have some idea of what she's doing (!)

She was Johnnie Walker's producer in his Drive Time days too.
At least it's someone from Radio 2!

Well, she had better leave Clare Teal and Don Black in place! And re-book Barry Humphries for another series. |

Was listening to an episode of Story of Pop the other day and Suzi Quatro was featured. Reminded me that her Quatrophonic programme hasn't been on in a good while. |
