The songwriter Barry Mason passed away yesterday, after a short illness. He was 85, and wrote many songs including Love Grows (Where My Rosemary Goes), The Last Waltz, and Delilah - hopefully he got a windfall from Chris Evans' weekly playing of that song. I notice he also wrote a Doctor Who cash-in with Frazer Hines in 1967 (but it failed to chart).
He used to be a member of my theatre (many years before I was) so thoughts are with his family. |

Sad news Ian. He wrote some great songs just had a look at some.
Two favourites of mine are Here It Comes Again by the fortunes and Everybody knows by Dave Clark Five.

Two all time favourites without a doubt, H. I bought Everybody Knows at the time. I must have been 12 years old.
Always a sucker for a sad song...he wrote some pearlers with and without Les Read, especially for Tom and the Hump. _________________ life is what happens to you while you're busy making other plans |
