Really enjoying R2's output tonight. Within 30 minutes I've heard 3 great favourites--Woodstock, the Ballet Egyptien movement and Vanity Fair--and the cor anglais suite that's playing now, though new to me, sounds haunting.

Yes, I listened to Desmond and most of FNIMN, very pleasant evening! Hadn't heard the Ink Spots for a long time
And the BBC CO were on top form with some great orchestral pieces, long time since I heard Vanity Fair, and a surprise to hear a movement from a Mozart concerto, and a young flute solist! _________________ -

I enjoyed FNIMN too. There are some terrific soloists in the BBC CO and it was good to give them recognition. |
