Doubtless Johnnie Walker will do something in his Sunday afternoon show to mark the anniversary of the coming into effect of The Marine (Etc) Broadcasting Offences Act on that fateful day in 1967. I would be very surprised if he didn't!
Since the UK-supplied and funded pirate radio stations were outlawed, radio in Britain has never been the same (by which I mean "as good").
Thankfully, Radio Caroline continues to fly the flag for independent radio in the UK - legally, of course!  |
