Dermot O'Leary will be broadcasting live from the Backstage enclosure at Earls Court from 2100-2230 on February 14 with live music and interviews with many of the winners and nominees.

Two lots of Kermit in one week? What have we done to be so rewarded?

Didn't he host a similar show last year?

I'm guessing Dermot O'Really is doing the broadcast this year because Mark Radcliffe objected to Russell Brand hosting the show on ITV1.

O'Really is so wooden that him and Patsy Kensit could double as Burnham Beeches in a production of the Scottish Play! It's unfair that he follows Stuart Maconie on a Saturday afternoon - but it gives this writer an excuse to watch Harry Hill's TV Burp!

Nod...the great unwashed will want to know everything that goes on backstage.
Then they will rush out for Heat or other celeb magazines for the latest celeb pictures.
As for me could not care less about what goes on backstage or even front stage.
Russell Brand LIVE.
No thank you.
Give me Kenneth Williams anyday!!!!!!

This years show could be interesting as it is going out live. It might match the classic Mick Fleetwod/ Sam Fox show as a classic car-crash tv moment. If anything does happen I'm sure Dermo will miss it though.

Hi Ernie...that Sam Fox and Mick Fleetwood one was an absolute dogs dinner of a presentation.
Surely nothing can ever be as bad.
They both had no idea what camera to look at or what to read and when.

Indeed. On the BAFTAs last night, they had someone lurking in the wings to interview people as they walked off. Particularly bad when they pounced on Eva Green, despite her acceptance speech showing that she's got no personality whatsoever.

It is strange how both Dermot and Russell also work for Channel 4. Does Lesley watch the network a lot?

She's probably trawling for future 'talent'.

Only 3.9 million watched the BAFTAS.
Yet 7.6 million saw Foyles War.
Does this mean the end for these backslapping luvvy nights on TV?

Unlikely - the BAFTAs were up on last year, and I assume international broadcast rights make them worth doing.
