Liza’s inaugural show was last night. Truly brilliant stuff. An inspiring show full of life and vitality as well as enthusiasm, and really quite funny in places too. I loved it. The R2 Broadcasting Bar of Excellence has just been raised. Watch and learn folks. Watch and learn. |

Sorry Rachel but I'll have to disagree as I was really disappointed with Liza's show. We were in the car and kept turning it down and then off. Why does everything have to be so darn interactive on R2 these days? Whatever happened to a DJ turning up and playing some tracks? I'm getting sick of Joe Public trying to entertain us and failing miserably.
A 'thumbs down' from me.

I don't dislike Liza T (she has the most endearing "dirty laugh") but Sunday R2 is a complete no-go zone for me (other than JW now and then in the afternoon). |

It's on Saturday Colin, in place of Alan Carr............
I usually enjoy Liza too.

I liked it - much better than Alan Carr, but I think I'd have prefered just the music with less interaction too to be honest, and I'm one that doesn't usually mind all the interactivity. On last night's show I couldn't really see any point for all these silly features, other than to get listeners to phone in and talk over the phone. _________________ Fred Hart

Ooops. I had it in my head that it was Sunday. Never mind, the Alan Carr nonsense was a no-go too! |

You're 100% correct about Alan Carr, his voice is as bad as Evans' in my book.

Anything has to be better than Alan Carr - I didn't hear Liza's first show but all I would say there is good 'interactive' and bad 'interactive' and most of it is bad but it can work well given the right presenter but few currently on Radio Two fit that category _________________ Are you ready for a Ruddles? |

It was a tough choice for us, we were all loved-up, snuggled on our sofa - log burner ... burning away over there, we had my slanket over us , it was roasty toasty cosy. We had planned to watch Saturday Night Fever on DVD- a movie I've not yet seen: and then up pops Liza, so I said to hubby, we could just listen to this, then we don't have to move to put the DVD on- so that's exactly what we did. I was tempted to text in about Huntingdon but my phone was in my handbag in another room and what with having a bout of not wanting to moveitis, that's where it stayed- so we just listened while hubby twiddled with my hair and earrings. It was all rather pleasant actually. |

Awww.
What were we up to between 6 and 8 on Saturday? Oh, yes, thundering down the A1. Having Liza Tarbuck on the radio would have been only marginally less dangerous than twiddling my wife's hair and earrings.
I like her (Liza T, that is)
And the music list wasn't bad
I'm inclined to agree with Helen's comment, though
