British Troops are being sent to Mali in efforts to help French troops to train the Mali army. 330 troops are already on the way, and will not be used as a combat role. British history books have shown that sending troops to countries could end up being bogged down for years. It's easy to go in, but hard to pull out.

My dad was in West Africa, with the Royal Signals during WWII, putting in telecom to prepare for German invasion. He was in Sierra Leopne, Senegal and Gold Coast (now Ghana). Fortunately the nazis never entered any of those countries. _________________ -
