I think this is quite a clever quiz really, having to score the fewest points. Radio 2 was represented in today's celebrity edition courtesy of Janice Long. I won't spoil the result of today's show, which is available on I-player: http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b01phqyw/Pointless_Celebrities_Daytime_Episode_10/ There was a question on 'Famous Alexs', how come the most famous Alex wasn't included? The one that follows Janice Long on Mondays - Fridays! _________________ Lord Evan Elpuss, Your ideal job is a Lumberjack. |

Oh really - I always thought that Vanity Fair was a late sixties pop group - remember 'Hitching a Ride' and 'Early In the Morning' _________________ Are you ready for a Ruddles? |

I remember the 1960s group too. They were Top Of The Pops regulars. _________________ Lord Evan Elpuss, Your ideal job is a Lumberjack. |

I always try to watch Pointless. Both Alexander Armstrong and Richard Osman are intelligent, witty and likable. They also play off each other so well. I thought Osman was good value as a panelist on Have I Got News For You recently.
Richard just now: "I've never known the difference between the Periodic Table and an occasional table - they sound the same to me".
Well I thought it was funny but I've just had a glass of wine whilst cooking. |

Did anybody else see Ken Bruce on tonight's edition of Pointless celebrates?
I won't spoil it in case anybody else wants to see it but the questions tonight were all absolute stinkers! |

I like her, she seems like a really nice lady.
I liked Jenny Eclair too, mad as a box of frogs! |

John Noakes was on with Peter Purves last night. I know he's not in the first flush of youth but he seemed really doddery and confused. The only time he spoke was to answer the questions.
Surely they could have found another ex BP presenter to partner Peter. |

Weren't Alexander Armstrong and Richard Osman at university together, and isn't it there where they came up with the format for "Pointless"? I rarely get to see the show due to timing but I do like their presentation style - even if I don't understand it any more than I understand the scoring system on "QI" (another show I really like). |

I Believe they were at Trinity college together.
I think once you come to grips with the fact the lowest score wins then it's great.
QI though (which I love) I do not understand, how does Alan Davies always end up with minus 21 or whatever.
Same as Have I got News for You? how does Ian always lose when he answers more questions correctly? |

Oddly enough, my wife and I were talking about exactly that while watching last night's show (the first in the new series)! We couldn't work it out either. |

Not only have this week's editions of Pointless been repeats but they've also been shown out of sequence.

I have deleted it from the record list for now. We usually watch it later on in the evening.
Apparently it was only 7 episodes (out of over 50) into the new series and they started showing repeats again.
Tonight's celebrity one is new as far as I know. |

I don't like to be rude as a rule but Sheila Ferguson and Sandie Shaw were utterly moronic not to mention deeply annoying on this tonight.
No grace when beating Mike & Ali in the first round, instead they were jumping around like 5 year olds. Pathetic, childish women.
The 2 Banarama girls on the other hand done themselves proud. |

Radio 2 presenters was a category today.
Top answers Ken Bruce (24) Terry Wogan (27) Chris Evans (46)
Simon Mayo got 10, Graham Norton 7 and Alex Lester 2
Pointless were the likes of Clare Teal, Trevor Nelson, Dave Pearce, Russell Davies and Jools Holland. _________________ Ron |

So how many did the likes of Tony Blackburn and Johnnie Walker get?
I saw the last fifteen minutes of the show and certainly wouldn't have chosen Alan Bennett for the final round today - but it worked for the parties involved _________________ Are you ready for a Ruddles? |

Not being mentioned, I suspect inbetween Pointless & the top few, i.e. wouldn't add £250 pound to the pot! _________________ Lord Evan Elpuss, Your ideal job is a Lumberjack. |
