If you only even half liked Carole King's Tapestry album I hope you saw the Carole King Story on BBC4 last night. A look back through her career with bits from song writers of the time. James Taylor, featured as did Peter Asher who I didn't recognise at all.
Worth watching on iPlayer IMHO.

I missed it as was out last night but will watch it, thanks Helen.
She's written so many classic songs she's an absolute genius. The word 'classic' is overused, but Tapestry really is just that. |

I'm sure you'll love the programme Schiz! I recorded it but watched at the same time (saves missing parts when the phone rings at the wrong moment!) but I'm leaving it on as I think I'd maybe like to watch again sometime.

PS to above.
Hope you see this in time, just seen that it's repeated on BBC4 at 11.30pm tonight.

I've been busy in Devon for a few days but set it to record and am very much looking to watch this. It's the kind of stuff that BBC4 does well. I guess we have to make the most of the channel before it gets the axe after the next Licence Fee review! |

Helen, what amazing timing! I've been out all day and read your posting at precisely 11.34 Sunday evening. I've just pressed record and am watching it now! Many thanks.
Colin: I agree with you about BBC4, it's a fabulous channel. Make use of it before the axe falls. |
